#1 Stop negative thinking
A negative mind will never give you a positive life. Stop thoughts that are limiting and self-defeating like “I can’t do that“ or “I’m not good enough“. Don’t believe everything you think. Negative and pessimistic thinking is unhelpful and will hold you back from achieving your goals and greater self-confidence. Replace negative thoughts with words that are positive and motivating. At the beginning it may be difficult, but the more you repeatedly send positive messages to yourself, the better you will feel.
#2 Stop comparing yourself to other people
It is an extremely unhealthy habit, but even the most confident people do it: Comparing. We all do it. It’s human, but constant comparison with others make you feel bad about yourself and lowers your self-esteem. You begin to question your own worth. And this can lead to frustration, depression, eating disorders, over-spending, and simply to the feeling of not being good enough. Life is not a competition. If you make it one, nobody will win. It’s always a losing battle, because the only person you’re really hurting in the end is yourself. Stop comparing and start living!

You create your life. You have to take responsibility! Even if situations become unbearable, there is always a way out. You will always have the choice to make a change.

Focus on what you have already achieved and reached, not what you lack and miss. Be proud of yourself and know your strengths. Avoid negative people, places, and things you don’t like or that make you feel bad about yourself.

Our attitude is a product of how we come to terms with our perception of reality. Your attitude, in its essence, is how you choose to deal with every situation thrown your way and the consequences of every choice you make.
Whether you behave in a positive or negative manner is completely up to you and you alone. Let’s face it, though. The business world is a rough place sometimes. Keep a positive attitude and you will find that even the worst curve balls that life can throw will be easier for you to deal with.
Of course, no one ever becomes perfect in their attitudes and behaviors. But, while you are working on improving and growing here are four easy steps that I’ve taken to have a much better attitude towards life.
1. Change your perception.
You can change your perception by trying to find something positive in every situation but first you have to choose to do so. Finding the positive in a crumby situation isn’t easy. Most of us will instinctively complain and point fingers simply because it’s the easier thing to do. But it only takes a quick reflective moment to find a positive. Looking for a positive instead of focusing on the negative is a powerful way to change your perception and a good way for you to improve your attitude.
Lao Tzu once said, “Because one believes in oneself, one doesn’t try to convince others. Because one is content with oneself, one doesn’t need others’ approval. Because one accepts oneself, the whole world accepts him or her.”
2. Enjoy what you have.
Life is series of moments. Some of these moments are much more memorable than others. You will find that the biggest and most influential moments are spread out across your entire life — birth, graduation, marriage, kids etc. If you want to improve your attitude, learn to savor the moments in between. Everyday occurrences, such as simply listening to your favorite song, eating your favorite snack or going for a walk are all good things you will overlook if you are focused only on the big events on the horizon.

Don’t take the things you already have for granted. In today’s throwaway culture we get caught up in the aggressive and addictive cycles of wanting the newest, latest and greatest “thing.” You will always feel you are lacking if you focus only on the next thing you want and overlook what you already have. Instead of constantly trying to find something that will make you happier, be grateful and find joy for all that you already have.
3. Have faith in yourself.
Stephanie Lahart said, “Respect, love, and value yourself. Always remember to be good to yourself by taking care of yourself. Make yourself a priority and know that it’s okay. Don’t feel guilty for loving yourself, first! You’re just as important as anybody else.” You are your own biggest critic. Valuing yourself more begins by turning your mean, nasty, sarcastic inner critic into an uplifting, inspiring voice. Failure to uplift and inspire yourself leads to crippling self doubt.
Just find one thing you enjoy about yourself and you will value yourself more. Then look for another good quality about yourself, and then another. When others do not believe in you, offer yourself these four little words that have encouraged many dreamers to move forward, “You can do this!” Many of the world’s biggest goal setters and dreamers achieved their wildest dreams while having little more than an idea and faith in themselves. Having faith in oneself goes hand in hand with achieving a better attitude in life.
4. Watch your mouth.
What you say has an enormous impact on your attitude. Every word you say act is a bullet in a metaphorical gun. Refrain from speaking negatively to, or about, yourself and others. I find this creates a negative culture and attitude about myself when I talk this way.
Use positive speech and phrases (including your voice inflections) to influence yourself and those around you into a more positive thought process. When you speak positively you begin to upload that positivity to your brain. This uploading of great thoughts engenders more good thoughts and a more positive attitude. Limit your complaining and stay away from people whose negativity make you think and feel poorly.
“What you’re supposed to do when you don’t like a thing is to change it. If you can’t change it, change the way you think about it. Don’t complain.” ~ Maya Angelou.
Notice how quickly people join in the negativity when you complain. Complaining always spirals downward without solving the problem, but if you offer happy, uplifting ideas you’ll feel everyone’s energy increase. Watch the faces of people you deal with. Did you add to or subtract from someone’s joy? What about your own joy?
Instead of complaining, try suggesting different solutions. Remove yourself from the equation if you cannot refrain from complaining.
The crowd falls silent as you walk out to the podium, and with hundreds of eyes fixed on you, you try to speak, only to realize you can’t remember a single word of your speech! This is the nightmare scenario so many of us play in our heads in the hours before we know we’ll need to speak in front of a crowd. The fear of public speaking, glossophobia, is one of the most common phobias, and many people avoid public speaking in order to escape their anxiety. But dodging the microphone or avoiding speaking in front of others can have career consequences that are worse than that temporary feeling of dread.
An average person ranks the fear of public speaking higher than the fear of death. The truth is, this fear could be hurting your professional and personal life. Unless you’re a gregarious extrovert, you feel nervous, your palms sweat, and your stomach ties itself into knots before speaking to a group or getting up in front of the audience.

Avoiding public speaking invitations, simply because you’re afraid, is doing yourself a disservice that could stifle your career growth. 1) Focus on Them, Not You: Public speaking anxiety often centers around feelings of insecurity about how you look and sound. By focusing on what the audience is getting out of your speech, you can take your mind off those worries about being judged. Remember that you’re speaking in front of a crowd to communicate something important. Are they absorbing your message? Are they connected? The more energy you put into conveying your main point, the less you’ll have available for self-criticism.
2) Speak from the Heart: Public speaking can feel awkward because we may think we have to pretend to be someone else – someone smarter – more knowledgeable. Instead of playing a role, just be sincere. Use examples you know well, relate to, and about which you feel strongly. The audience will pick up on your passion for the subject. When you speak in front of a crowd about your own perspective, you’re more likely to remember your speech, remain calm, and be convincing and compelling.
3) Breathe: It may seem obvious, but breathing properly is a proven technique for overcoming anxiety. Being deliberate about your breathing during a public speaking engagement can have multiple benefits. It reminds you to stay in the moment and get out of your head, and it slows you down, which prevents rushing through your speech and allows you to build confidence as you go. Breathing deeply also helps you control the sound of your voice, and it has a calming effect that prevents nerves from creeping up on you.
4) Practice, Practice, Practice: The better rehearsed you are, the more confident you’ll feel on stage, helping mitigate any fear of public speaking. Focus on your delivery more than specific words, and practice reading your presentation aloud. If possible, perform your speech in front of an audience, even if it’s just a friend or loved one. If you plan to use cue cards or a PowerPoint, practice with those as well, and make sure you’ve designed your cheat sheets in ways that are simple and easy to read. Cue cards with huge blocks of text can be confusing. Instead, use clean bullet points, and make sure the cards are numbered so you don’t mix up the order of your presentation. Record yourself via audio or video recorder and review your presentation as though you were an audience member. You’d be surprised how much changing your perspective can help you improve your public speaking performance.
5) Take Pauses: When you’re nervous, it’s tempting to rush through your presentation, but taking occasional pauses can help to calm your nerves and improve your delivery. Pauses create a break in your speech, which gives the audience a chance to react and absorb your message. Pauses help to add emphasis and can force you to get back into the moment rather than obsessing about the next line you have to recite.
6) Embrace Your Nerves: Don’t judge yourself for being nervous. Your anxiousness about public speaking is a sign that you care about doing well and you’re invested. Studies have shown that trying to stop yourself from being nervous is a losing battle. Instead, transform your nerves into another feeling: excitement. Begin with a story, joke, or memory to draw the audience into your presentation right away. This also helps you put their focus on your message rather than your performance as a speaker.
8) Don’t Memorize Every Word: It’s tempting to rehearse to the point that you know every single word, pause, and inflection by heart. This could backfire big-time if you happen to miss a word, completely throwing you off for the rest of your presentation. Instead, memorize the beats, the main points you need to make, and instead of focusing on the exact delivery, put energy into staying in the moment and connecting with your audience.
Public speaking doesn’t have to be painful. In fact, it shouldn’t be. Taking center stage to speak to a crowd is an exciting opportunity to share your voice and demonstrate your ability to motivate and inspire. While your instincts might tell you to get through it as fast as you can and to try not to think about what you’re doing, that approach will almost guarantee a poor performance. As daunting as it may seem, try to enjoy the moment. Remind yourself of the potential benefits of doing a good job, and remember that the people in the audience aren’t there because they want to see you fail. They are there to learn something and to hear what you have to say. Prepare yourself well and your ability to capture the crowd may surprise you.

We all start out as kids with big dreams; we want to be movie stars, astronauts and sports superstars. We want to be somebody. But then we get out into the real world and it starts beating us down, and then we start beating ourselves down. We get to the point where we have little or no belief in ourselves.
I always tell people they need to be boldly humble. I realize this is a tricky thing, having a healthy self-esteem but not having an out-of-control ego. It can feel like a contradiction; life is full of them. But you have to develop the ability to find a healthy balance between the two. You have to be able to manage and move through these contradictions in a healthy way.
To achieve what you want in life, you have to build your belief in yourself. At the same time, though, it’s critical that, whatever level you reach, you maintain humility. Here’s what’s worked for me.
1. Examine your thoughts
There are two parts to this. Look at whom you spend your time with. Whom do you talk to? Whom do you listen to? People often surround themselves with people who drain their battery, who are negative and who don’t build them up. They become kind of a mutual tear down society. Surround yourself with people who are positive, who build you up and who help you create belief in yourself.
Surround yourself with people who build you up. The power of association and disassociation is a very important power for you to exercise in your life. Get away from people who make you feel like crap and get around people who give you belief.
The second part is what you read and watch. What are you reading? Is it about achievement? I like to read biographies about people who do things and accomplish things in life. By doing that, I realize they go through self-doubt, struggles and wanting to quit—everything that I go through—but they find ways to persevere through those things and overcome. Whether on the computer, phone or TV, what are the messages that come into your life to influence how you think?
2. Take small steps
It doesn’t have to be anything big. Doing something you said you were going to do makes you feel better about yourself. Be a daily goal-setter and a daily goal hitter. Know what you need to accomplish each day and do it. Check things off. This also helps you feel less overwhelmed with life. Some people have so much meaningless information coming at them, they get overwhelmed and give up. They sit on the sofa and don’t do anything. Get a list and knock things off each day. Remember, inch by inch it’s a cinch to get things done.
3. Change your mindset
The voices in our heads aren’t always positive. In fact, it’s often that negative inner voice that sounds the loudest. I’m so stupid, I never get things done, I’m going to fail—again. Don’t do that. Think about what you’re thinking about and what you’re allowing to happen in your mind. Pay attention to your mindset. If you’re putting yourself down, reverse those thoughts and try focusing on your positive traits. We all have them. What you think about yourself is influencing the results you’re getting in every area of life.
4. Go for it
Life is short. It goes by so quickly. What are you worried about? Most of the things we worry about don’t really matter. Just go for it. If you’re thinking about changing jobs because you hate your job, then change jobs. Don’t spend your life in a rut not liking yourself or hating what you’re doing. Do something about it. Find belief in yourself and then go for it.
5. Rein it in
When you’ve gone out and won, when you’re super-successful, you have to work like crazy to realize you’re not that big of a deal. Don’t be a loudmouth. Don’t be a know-it-all. Don’t be a jerk. It’s that tricky combination of humility and self-esteem when we realize that none of us are that big of a deal, but on the other side of it, we all have great value. You are the only you there will ever be on this planet in the history of humanity. Be the best you that you can be. You’re never in life as good as you think you are when things are going great, and you’re never as bad as you think you are when they’re aren’t. We’re all somewhere in between.
Remember, when you believe in yourself and believe success is possible for you, and take action on that belief, your life will begin to magically unfold. And you’ll discover that the universe will guide you and support you.
Most importantly, you’ll learn to listen to your intuition, be more positive and mindful each day, and have the power to ask for what you want, making you unstoppable in any situation.

How many times in your life, have you heard a phrase “Live your dreams” so far?
Many times for sure. However, years later, your dreams are still just unfulfilled dreams. Why on earth is it so?
There are many reasons, but the actual key of why only a few of us realize their dreams lies in ourselves. Make a move, change the way of thinking , make an effect in order to live your dreams.
Why are we the ones to blame for the unfulfilled dreams?
First and foremost, it’s our dreams we’re talking about, and we are the ones who need to start working on them. The mere dreaming is not enough, the necessary thing is to act in accordance with these dreams.
When we get old, we’ll talk shit about how we missed a big part of our life and how we failed in realising many of our goals. But then it will already be a bit late (though it’s never too late).
I’ll assume that you are relatively young (or just a bit older), slightly clever (or much more), that you are ready to act and that you have some dreams. You don’t need anything more than that to achieve your dreams!
Actually, you do need something else, a different way of thinking!
This article that I’m just typing will give you some of the simplest, but also the wisest reasons why you should start realising your dreams. I hope this will startle you a bit, and that you’ll really take a second to think about achieving your goals.
What does a different way of thinking really mean? And how to achieve it?
The important thing is to comprehend that following your dreams should become a top priority in your life. It is also important to find a way in which you’ll be able to live your dream, but that’s already a step that goes beyond the subject I’m currently talking about.
If you start to build your dreams now, and you persevere in it, I bet that in a few months or years, you’ll be a proud and a successful member of my website. Moreover, I’ll be proud and happy to know that I helped someone in making a move and accomplishing his/hers dreams.
A different way of thinking can be accomplished in different ways. I recommend that you start looking at the events and the people that surround you as an opportunity and a challenge that has been given to you. Let them be the generator of your success, and not the people, that fetter you.
In order to live your dreams, you’ll have to give up some things, some people and even some habits. But if you really want to accomplish your dreams, you’ll be ready for it.
Oh, and the most important thing: Don’t give up if you don’t see the results quickly. There will pass months, weeks, and maybe even years before the dreams start coming true. During this time you have to work on them at a full power. One accomplished dream will lead to the second one, and the third, and soon you’ll be able to live your dreams.
Never give up on your dreams because you only get to accomplish them now.
Great reasons why you should live your dreams are:
You only live once, and you only get one chance
If you take into consideration the fact that you have 70 years of age at your disposal, you need to spend that time as quality as you can. 70 years may seem a lot, but you’ll come to understand very quickly how the time flies.
Don’t fool yourself by thinking that you can start living your dreams tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, or in some better period. There will be no better period, an there is no tomorrow that can dispute the fact that the best day to start is today.
Year after year, will go by, and your life will run in a completely unplanned direction. Yes, it happens to all of us. It is time to take the reins into your own hands, because that’s the only way in which you’ll be able to live your dreams.
You’ll definitely need more months, even years in practice, to accomplish your dreams. So, count on the fact that the dreams will be achieved in a longer multi-year period.
The math is pretty clear. If you start today, you’ll have your dreams accomplished in 5 years. If you start in five years from now, you’ll be asking yourself, where could I have been if only l had started that day (today), in other words 5 years ago.
Time is a consumable material – the stash is getting smaller day by day
This thesis builds up on the first one, but it is necessary point out explicitly once again – the time can’t be stopped, nor turned back.
If you get a chance today, that might push you closer to achieving your dreams – accept it gladly. Do not think that things will get better in time. Maybe they will, but believe me you’ll have to invest a lot of will, effort and time in it.
The minutes I’ve spent on writing this section, have been lost irretrievably. No
one will ever be able to restore that time to me!
But what’s most important is that I have spent that time on the realization of both your dreams and mine. My dreams are transferring the knowledge and the motivation to you. I cannot say that the time has been lost. Is it a lost time for you who are reading this? It’s up to you.
The important conclusion of this paragraph is, that you should devote every minute of your life to what makes you happy. Make a list of the dreams that you plan on realising, and start working on them right now.
Every minute you spend in order to live your dreams, will be paid out in more than one way. First of all, you’ll enjoy in what you do. Second of all, your life will get a new meaning, and things will start falling into place. Third, you’ll realize that you can live a better and a higher quality life, than you thought so far.
Take advantage of this minute, and the next one, and of all the others to come, and live your dreams.
You have to make your dreams come true all by yourself
Are you aware of the fact that the world is not changing all by itsefl? It is changed by individuals just like you and me.
There would be no computer, smartphone, internet, social network or anything else, in this world if it wasn’t for the individuals.
Every individual is responsible for himself. Whereas you’re an individual, you’re the main culprit of whether you live your dreams or not.
Don’t think that the realization of your dreams will fall from the skies. That never happens!
If you don’t start creating your life on your own, there comes a question, whether you’ll leave any trace in the history? Of course it is hard to believe that you’ll be remembered by something you did (not) do.
But, if you make a move, and start working on the realization of your dreams, your life will slowly start turning into a life you’ve always imagined.
Don’t be a nobody, leave a positive trace in history!
You’re forgetting the fact that you’re the one who’s important
Our life is often based on others nowadays. We do what others are interested in, and what we think could meet the wishes of others. Does all this make sense anyway?
Are you ready to spend your life wanting to satisfy only the others?
It is time you dedicate to yourself, and put yourself in the spotlight. This doesn’t mean that the whole world should revolve around you, but it is important that your thoughts and your actions revolve around you.
Do not let different situations and experiences pass by you, just so you would not discredit and hurt others. Except the challenges, enjoy in what makes you happy, and let the other take care of themselves.
This fact is a stumbling stone for many people!
The vast majority of the conflict situations can be solved with conversation, but we tend to think that it is easier to keep it all inside, and to do something that does not affect the improvement of our life directly, yet it affects the improvement of other people’s lives. You need to change this.
All of your friends will ask you for a favour sooner or later, but the moment you need something, they will no longer be available. It’s not an assumption it’s a fact.
Create your life by your own standards. Remove all those who fetter you from your life, and put into your life all those who serve you as an inspiration and a guide for the life of your dreams. Do not procrastinate and outflank to others, live your dreams.
You’ve got much more potential and energy than you think
I won’t lie to you, the road to success and the accomplishment of your dreams is not easy at all. Nevertheless, the best things in life happen just when we put a lot of energy, will, and feelings in them.
It is the same when it comes to achieving your dreams. You’ll feel like your dreams are further and further away from you, day by day, but by working hard, you are only getting closer to the final result. Believe me, each effort and hard work will bring you some results.
On this path, you’ll run into many obstacles, which will contradict to the life of your dreams. People who have failed, think that accomplishing your dreams is a mission impossible. But it’s time to ask those who succeeded, so that we can hear what they have to say about dreams coming true? Yes, they will tell you, that you can achieve your dreams, just like they did.
The trap lies in the fact that we give up before we’re supposed to. When the results are not visible, we begin to lose all the enthusiasm and the desire to push forward.
That’s the key moment. It is the moment when you have to give the best of what you keep inside. Continue to push forward, set new challenges for yourself, and never stop trying.
If we’re thinking about failure, it is very probable that the failure will happen to us. Therefore, it is necessary to think about success, and to strive for something better day by day.
Forget about all the obstacles and the headaches that will get in your way. You need to find that positive energy in yourself, that will push you forward, and you’ll see, anything can happen.
The feeling of happiness and fulfillment
Is there anything better in the world than feeling happy and fulfilled?
The positive feelings will come in abundance if you live your dreams. Every new step which takes us closer to the accomplishment of our dreams will be a moment worth celebrating. It will be a moment, when we will be imbued with happiness for achieving the fraction of what we strive for. We’ll be proud of ourselves, because we have shown both to ourselves and others that we can go one step further. We will feel complete, because we have found an additional energy, which allows us to live a dream life.
All in all, if you don’t start striving for the life of your dreams, you’ll miss a big opportunity to experience all these wonderful feelings. You’ll also miss the opportunity to prove to yourself, that you could have achieved something more than an average man in your life.
Your time for happiness starts now, when you are making your first step in order to live your dreams.
You deserve to live your dreams, trust me. Actually, each of us deserves to live a life he/she has been dreaming of since childhood.
As years go by, our dreams change and adapt to some new situations. That doesn’t necessarily have to be bad, but it certainly can be.
If we begin to subordinate our dreams to others, or to push them under the carpet because it is not the right time for their realization, this is certainly not good. That’s exactly why the reasons numbered above, should make you start thinking about, and working on the “live your dreams” project.
It is time you start thinking more clearly and find what excites you in life. Let this become your dreams, and let the dreams become life goals. After that, make sure that goals convert into actions, and let the actions lead you to a life of your dreams.

What is Git?
Git is a tool for version control which is primarily used by programmers. It runs with the command line on your local machine and allows you to keep track of your files and modifications made to those files in something called a ‘Repository’ or ‘Repo’. You can use it alone as well as with a team of people who are working on the same project. It’s useful in a team environment because everyone can work independently on those files, merge their changes together and there’s a permanent record of who made what change.
What is GitHub?
GitHub is a website that allows you to upload your Git repositories online.
Why would you want to host your files on GitHub?
Because it provides a backup of your files and gives you a visual interface for navigating your repositories. It provides other people a way to navigate your repositories. It also makes repo collaboration easy. GitHub is more common if you are using Git.
This example will make you clearer about what Git and GitHub are.
Consider you are a professional photographer and you use Adobe Photoshop to process your photos. You take the photos, edit them in Photoshop and when it’s ready, you upload them to your Facebook page.
In this context, Git is Adobe Photoshop and GitHub is Facebook.
I’ve never thought of myself as a Female Engineer, OR Founder, OR A Woman In Tech. I just think of myself as someone who’s PASSIONATE!
The female future of tech is in our hands
Women may hold up half the sky, as per the Chinese proverb, and they account for half of all tech users, but they remain severely underrepresented in the worlds of technology and entrepreneurship.
This is unsustainable and unacceptable. It harms technological development, holding back societal and economic progress.
I am a BIG believer that girls and young women should absolutely be encouraged to code if they are interested in computer science. But before we prescribe such a specific level of skill development, it’s all of our responsibility – as parents, teachers, friends and role models – to first make sure that they understand the constellation of opportunity that awaits them.
To help girls and young women imagine themselves in these tech careers, we need to show them examples of successful women in these roles. There’s still a gender gap, yes, but there are women leading their fields in every tech-related category.
You have to be fearless,” Titolo says. “There are going to be people who don’t like the way you do something or don’t like you for any particular reason. Don’t let the fear of that hold you back—there’s so much potential out there.”
My goal is to shine a spotlight on career paths in tech that I worry many girls aren’t learning about at home or in school. The fact is that most of these opportunities don’t require candidates to know how to code. I want our girls and young women to see tech as a playing field for their passions. Before we get down to nurturing specific skill development, our first job is to open their eyes to the possibilities.
I don’t want to be telling my daughter in 10 years’ time that she will have to wait another 25 years before she is considered equal. And I also don’t want to be telling her that ‘It’s a Man’s World’. I would far rather be saying we’re ‘All Together Now’.
The emotional roller coaster of running a tech company is a challenge, one that I handle differently from my male counterparts. Again this is just self-perception; other women may have different experiences. Naturally, I push myself hard: I’m responsible for other people’s money.
We must inspire more women to launch technology-focused businesses, raising the profile of female entrepreneurs. Then younger girls may view technology as an attractive career option, with more women drawn into early stage investment.
We need more girls interested in technology. We want girls to know that they are just as smart as boys and they can succeed in these careers too!
We want to see more women in technology industries, now and in the future. We need more female coders to meet demands. We want to inspire and encourage more women to get interested in technology and make a career in the industry.
When one woman helps another, amazing things can happen!!
